San Salvador, El Salvador, July 2, 1996: Don Francisco Aleman, Director - DIGESTYC of the Ministry of Economics, Republic of El Salvador, today named lsnet of Independence, Virginia, United States of America, official host on the World Wide Web for information produced by that institution. Using technology developed by Logical Support, lsnet is developing tens of thousands of world wide web pages of population, social, educational and educational data at its facilities in Grayson County. As part of a project funded by the United States Agency for International Development, Department of State, Logical Support will also publish these tables on CD ROM.
In choosing lsnet and Logical Support, Don Francisco recognized its capabilities in analyzing and reporting analysis of massive data bases such as the 5,000,000 record 1992 Census. Using Intel Pentium processors, over 10 gigabytes of disk storage and CD ROM writers, Logical Support expects to deliver the first round of information in San Salvador in late July.
Logical Support is also developing Internet applications for the Ministry of Health in Bolivia and reproductive health and family planning programs in India and Bangladesh.
